I think Fitzpatricks was a great bar, especially under the fine leadership of Darren Carroll. He is known as the 'Brian O'Driscol of the Bar World' amongst the albino Irish underground pikey bareknuckle boxing scene....

....either that or he is a walking, talking example of why chemical castration is a good idea. Cretin. - irishey mcirisherson (definitely not JD), Oireland - Mar 26, 2009

I don't know why this bar or the gentleman 'at the helm' is at the receiving end of such negative reviews. I was fortunate enough to meet the manager and I think people should feel lucky, if not privileged, that they were served by a living legend. He single-handedly established fourteen of the premier drinking establishments on the Mediterranean coast, developed a successful irrigation program in Kazakhstan and solved the ‘troublesome’ power problems with the international space station……..at least, that’s what he told me……and he had a bad limp. I think he deserves a break…..maybe around the neck area.

Lying, sewer-dwelling, waste of blood and guts that he is.

I believe the owner has now retreated to a travellers camp out by Westhill, he is repaying his debts by stealing man hole covers for scrap.

He must have thought he was so gangsta' opening his own pub. to paraphrase his old mate Shane

he's a scum bag

he's a maggot

he's a cheap lousy faggot

Happy Christmas your arse

I pray God

It's his last [in the pub trade]

i hate pikeys

The owner is a ****! Im glad the police are looking for him! I feel sorry for all the people who are due money from him. Cowboys like this give legit pub owners a bad rep. - Aberdeen, Scotland - Mar 25, 20091111

Please note this pub is now closed following last weeks ridiculous attempt to get some punters in by lying about Shane McGowan/Dubliners gig - Peanut, Scotland - Mar 14, 20091NRNRNR

We went to this pub following the hourly broadcasts by 106FM Aberdeen that the Dubliners were going to be playing there free of charge accompanied by Shane Mcgowan off the Pouges on the Saturday night. We went there on the Friday daytime to see what it was all about. To be honest all the bar staff were spot on, especially the barmaid with the dark hair, the only downfall was the so called Gobshite manager Darren Carroll apparently from Co. Waterford who proclaimed to be a personal friend of MR Mcgowan and that he'd actually owned the Celtic pub in Benidorm, we all know that pub don't we.Thankfully we read between the lines and avoided the scam but my heart goes out to the friendly staff who were obviouisly taken in by this prick and everyone else concerned.

Truth or fairytale this place is a bloody nightmare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - ANON, SCOTLAND - Mar 8, 20091111

Very disappointing first time we visited for food that was being advertised the Kitchens had not yet opened. We were told were not set to open for another week. Second time they were advertising a gig with Shane Mac Gowan and the Dubliners to help drag in customers which was interestingly canceled at the last minute.

Very unimpressed - Paddy, Ireland - Mar 7, 2009

An absolute disgrace of an irish bar. Pity Shane MacGowan suspiciously cancelled at 4pm today. Must be something to do with his gig in the Pompano Beach Florida tonight. What a joke. - Rob "the weed" Kelly, , Ballina - Mar 7, 20091131
