The Globetrotter Inn Edinburgh is the place on the backpacker scene to stay...and yes, of course we would say that. Thing is, it happens to be true.

As Edinburgh's largest 4* hostel, we are the perfect base for groups and individuals alike!

Globetrotters is a laid back, friendly, fun, clean, comfortable, modern and secure hostel with clued-up staff a fantastic bar and facilities that are second to none.

Take your pick from private double & twin en-suite rooms, 4 or 6 share en-suite rooms or 6 or 8 share luxury bunk rooms.

Our custom designed beds are the most comfortable in Edinburgh and allow for great levels of privacy and an assured great nights sleep. With your own spring mattress, reading light, privacy curtain and shelf you'll find yourself relating to your very own bed back home.

With just under 366 beds there's something for everyone.

Towels are provided in our private twin and double rooms - guests booking in bunk rooms should BYO - alternatively we have towels on sale in the on-site shop.

To make things even better...everyone in a dorm room get's their own backpack sized locker, a big bunk with a privacy curtain and a personal reading light! Talk about comfortable!

We understand that just because you're travelling on a budget - comfort and security is not something that should be neglected....

The Inn is on the south side of the Firth of Forth with sensational views. It's roughly 15 minutes drive from Edinburgh's Waverley train station and 15 minutes drive from Edinburgh International Airport.

Cancellations for people booking through HW must be received 24-hours prior to 2pm of your arrival date. Failure to do so will result in the cost of your first night's accommodation being charged to the card used to make your booking.

Check-in time is from 2pm. Check out time is 10am.

Any guest under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult (over 21) and must not be in shared rooms.

Note: We do not accept American Express, Diners or Laser cards

We run our very own shuttle bus which leaves from Waterloo Place, stand C on the our every hour last bus is 11pm.

Price for our shuttle is £1.50 single, £2.50 return, £4.00 day pass and £10.00 for weekly pass

We are located just 15 minutes drive from the City Centre (Edinburgh's Waverley train station) and 15 minutes drive from Edinburgh International Airport.

Check in time is from 2pm. Check out time is 10am.
Late checkouts will incur a half day room charge fee for all dorm and private rooms upon checkout.

For your own convenience we run our very own shuttle bus which leaves from Waterloo Place, stand C on the hour every hour. To reach Waterloo Place, exit Waverley train station on to Waverley Bridge and turn right onto Princes Street. Then keep walking in a straight line (the big Balmoral Hotel should be on your right), cross over the North Bridge and the road will lead into Waterloo Place. You will see a set of bus stops and our shuttle bus leaves from stand C.
Travelling from the bus station, exit via St Andrews street and turn left on to Princes Street. Cross over the road to the Balmoral Hotel. Then follow the same directions as from Waverley train station.
Leaving the City Centre from 7am (every hour) until 11pm.
Price for our shuttle is £1.50 single, £2.50 return, £4.00 day pass and £10.00 for weekly pass.

Alternatively make your way to Hanover Street and take the 42 bus, this will drop you off directly opposite our hostel. (as it is a local bus it will take approximately 25 - 30 minutes)

There is a night bus N8 which leaves the City Centre after midnight and runs every hour on 5 past the hour. This will also drop you off directly opposite our hostel.

Should you wish to arrive after midnight please call us and pay the final balance as we require full payment before midnight

We require photo identification upon check in. (passport or drivers licence, etc)

Note: We do not accept American Express, Diners or Laser cards. If you are booking with a maestro card (card number that starts with 6) we will require a issue number or issue date along with your expiry date)
