Situated in Edinburgh’s Grassmarket area, famed for its numerous Scottish hostelries and eateries and with excellent access to everything Edinburgh has to offer, is Art Roch Hostel, a newly refurbished hostel, housing 20 rooms , 6 of which are ensuite, and 196bed spaces with special facilities for families, and school groups.

Also, we have a disabled room on the ground floor, this way we cater to everybody.

Then follow the directions below from Waverley train station. From Waverley train station (on foot) Take the exit at the station that takes you up to Waverley Bridge (this is the road that all the taxis are taking). Now, when you get to the top you will see the Castle in front of you. Turn left and walk 200 meters till you come to a small round about. Turn right at the round about so you are going towards the Castle on Market Street. When you get to the top of the street turn left onto Bank Street and follow this street around till you get to the Royal Mile. Once you get to the Royal Mile continue walking through the intersection on to George IV Bridge (It’s not a bridge, it’s a street). Walk 100 meters and turn right at Victoria Street. Walk to the bottom of the street and turn right once you hit the Grassmarket. We are then located 200 meters down on the left-hand side in the corner of the Grassmarket. From bus station (on foot) When you leave the bus station from the front entrance turn left on St. Andrews Street. Walk two streets down till you reach Princes Street. When you get to the set of lights walk cross the road and continue to Waverley Bridge. From here follow the directions as above from Waverley Bridge. It’s only a 10-minute walk from Waverley Bridge to the hostel. If you have any problems please do not hesitate to contact us and we’ll be happy to answer any questions. See you at the Art Roch Hostel!		Is photo ID required? Photo ID is required for Check In. The accepted forms are a valid passport, national ID card or a Photo Drivers Licence. Dorms are for over 18's only please Check-in / check-out Check in is from 3pm and checkout is by 10am. If your room is ready before 3pm we are flexible and check you in early. What is the cancellation policy? At the time of booking we need a 10% deposit, which is non-refundable to guarantee your booking. If you would like to cancel your booking you must give us 24-hours notice prior to your arrive date. If not, you will be charged for your first night. Is smoking allowed? Smoking is illegal in all public areas in Scotland and if you are caught you will be charged £50 or it will be the discretion of the Duty Manger whether you are asked to leave without a refund. Are guests under 18 allowed to stay? Guests under the age of 18 years of age and that aren’t in a group cannot stay in dormitories by them selves and the only way you can stay in the hostel is in a private room with a guardian.
