Newtonmore, in the Cairngorms National Park and the Highlands of Scotland, is the perfect base for outdoor activities, relaxing or touring.

Situated at the rear of Craigellachie House, our purpose built hostel has 3 bedrooms and sleeps a maximum of 10 (4+4+2). However, any of the three rooms can be booked as a private room for two (or more). There are 3 showers, 3 toilets, a drying room, lots of hot water, a fully equipped kitchen, electric central heating and a lounge/dining area with a wood burning stove.

Look for the blue signs. Train Newtonmore If arriving by train walk up Station Road for 1/2 mile until you meet the main road and turn right, go past the Esso Station. the hostel is another 200 yds. It's a pleasant walk Train Kingussie Start walking, it's only 3 miles and will do you even more good than walking from Newtonmore Station, you can call call a taxi from the phone at the station. Bus (Citylink) from Inverness Buses stop opposite the hostel (the Craig Dubh stop). Buses (Citylink) from Edinburgh/Glasgow Buses from Edinburgh/Glasgow stop 200 yards away (the McPherson Museum stop). Check In To check in come to the BACK door of the white house and ring the cowbell.		Check-in is from 3pm onwards. If you arrive earlier you can leave your luggage with us until your room is ready If you have not arrived by 22.00 and you have not contacted us then your booking will be considered to be cancelled (and the hostel will be locked up for the night) and your credit card will be charged according to the booking conditions. Dogs are not accepted either in the hostel OR sleeping in the owners vehicle parked in our premises' Although you have booked using your credit or debit card, you will have to pay by cheque or cash at the hostel. Checkout is by 10.00, please vacate the hostel by that time Remember this is a small hostel, we don't have a 'reception' and we may be out for a while. If this happens check the notice on the door, find your bed and make yourself comfortable. Fear not, we will catch up with you later on.**
