| Pitlochry is a bustling, blooming small Victorian town at the very centre of Scotland. Situated on the River Tummel it comes complete with salmon Fish Ladder and Festival Theatre (May-Oct : 50% discount for Hostellers!). It contains the smallest whisky distillery in Scotland (free tours) and a 300-year-old Inn brewing its own ales. Set amidst hills, lochs and woodland Pitlochry makes a superb base for walkers and cyclists, as well as for tours by vehicle to a variety of attractions. Alight at Fishers Hotel. Walk down the main street (Atholl Rd). Turn first left up Bonnethill Rd. Then first right (Toberargan Rd) and first left (Well Brae ). Go to the top of the hill and the hostel is on your left. Approx 5 min. walk By Train: Edinburgh/Glasgow- Inverness service. Follow road from station up to the main street (Atholl Rd). Turn right and walk down Atholl Rd. Take second left and Walk up Bonnethill Rd. Then first right (Toberargan Rd) and first left (Well Brae). Go to the top of the hill and the hostel is on your left.
