Established in 1924, the 3 Star Edinburgh Thistle Hotel is located in the prestigious, quiet and residential West End area of the city centre. Close by is Edinburgh Castle, St. Mary's Cathedral, Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) and of course the renowned Princes Street with its vast array of stylish shops and stores.

Having been a Georgian Town House and retaining most of its original period features, our hotel comprises 11 comfortable, elegant and spacious en-suite rooms. Each room features Digital TV, radio alarm, tea and coffee making facilities, towels, telephone, hairdryer, fridge, trouser press and iron + ironing board. Wireless (Wi-Fi) Internet Broadband access is also available throughout the building.

There is a 3 day Cancellation Policy in low season (Jan April / Oct Dec) and 5 days in high season (May Sept).

Get off the bus at Haymarket and it is a 5 minute walk. Turn right into Manor Place and walk down to the end. Thistle Hotel is on the right-hand side. From Waverley Train Station & Edinburgh Bus Station: On Princes Street get any of the following Buses: 3 / 4 / 12 / 25 / 26 / 31 / 33 / 44 and get off just before the Haymarket. Turn right into Manor Place and walk down to the end. Thistle Hotel is on the right-hand side. We recommend a short taxi transfer (approx: 5 to 7 minutes) or alternatively walk (approx: 20 to 25 minutes). The Haymarket Train Station at the West End is Edinburgh's second station but many of the trains stop here. If your train does stop at the Haymarket, we are only a 5 minute walk away.
