| This 18th century Georgian house is 20-25 minute walk from the heart of Edinburgh. Situated close to all major road and rail links, the Carlton House caters for both the business guest as also the traveller and private guests. 10 of the 14 bedrooms are en-suite. (1 with pvt facilities) Guests can choose from double, single, twin or family rooms. Each room has modern entertainment facilities such as a TV , Ironing facilities on request. Most of the rooms have hairdryer, luggage stand. Our location is perfect for exploring Edinburgh and it's surrounding area. We arrange Highland tours to Lochness, Loch Lomond, Inverness & Stirling. Tours are run regularly 7 days a week and all year round. An early breakfast will be provided for those guests who have booked a tour with us. Tour prices include drop off to coach departure and pick up back to the guesthouse on your return in the event of your stay being more than 1 day. 'Celebrate the New Year!!! Hogmanay Street Party, Edinburgh 31st December. We can provide street party passes if you book with us for the New Year!!! Let us know before you arrive if you wish to avail of these passes!!!' Your host can arrange an Airport pick up from £29. please enquire well in advance of arrival date, to booking transport and/or correct tarriff applicable. A Free pickup service is available from the city centre (bus or rail station) to the guest house, courtesy of Carlton House. Please contact the guesthouse in advance for either of the two services (preferable at time of booking). Otherwise guests can take the city shuttle bus from the airport to the city centre. This bus will drop you off on Princes Street and Waverly Station. Directions from the City Centre: Carlton house is very accessible from the centre of the city. Guest travelling on the bus can take bus number 3,7,8,29,31,37 or 49. All of which leave from Princes Street. Alternatively a short walk from Princes street will take you to the Carlton House. -Leaving Princes Street follow directions for the Royal mile North Bridges located in the Old Town section of Edinburgh. -Continue downhill for approx 1 mile, passing Nicholson StreeT, South Clerk Street, Minto Street, (ALL ONE ROAD) the Carlton House is located at 15 Mayfield Gardens, on the left hand side. | No pets please.
